The Krka National Park is located in Šibenik-Knin County, which covers the area from the beautiful course of the Krka River to the upper course of the Čikola River. A national park is a vast, mostly unaltered area of exceptional and multiple natural values, and includes one or more preserved or slightly altered ecosystems. Its purpose is primarily scientific, cultural, educational and recreational. This spacious park preserves one or more complex and extremely important ecosystems that represent the wealth of our planet and are important for the survival of biodiversity. Krka National Park is a monument of the highest category, enriched with one of the most beautiful flowers in the country: the iris or iris is a unique flower, and it is decorated with the reputation of “Croatian national flower”. With its seven travertine waterfalls: Bilušića buk, Brljan, Manojlovački slap, Rošnjak, Miljacka slap, Roški slap and Skradinski buk, the Krka River is a natural and karst phenomenon. Skradinski buk is the last seventh, the longest travertine barrier on the Krka River. It is one of the most unusual and beautiful landscapes of the “Krka” National Park.
